Dance Party Standbys
We were at an awesome party a couple weeks ago at my friend Amanda’s house, and India learned an interesting factoid:
There are three songs that DJ’s will play as a last resort to get the party going. Maybe I should ask our wedding DJ, The Human Jukebox if he agrees.
Want to guess what the top 3 are?….

You aren’t going to tell us what they are? I can only remember two.
“Groovers in the Heart” by Deelite
“Jump Around” by House of Pain
For a UK crowd I’d definitely throw in a bit of “Fools Gold” by the Stone Roses. Dunno what else though. I mean, the other day the guy played “Come on Eilieen” but surely, for the love of all that is holy, that can’t be considered a “standby” unless your crowd is a bunch of 40-something sad sacks.

You’re right about the first two. I’m pretty sure the third was “Push It” by Salt n Pepa.
Not sure what else I’d add to the list. Personally, I’d add “Ain’t No Fun” by Snoop, but only because it reminds me of high school. And I’d say Madonna, Pat Benitar, Michael Jackson, George Michael… okay, just about anything 80’s.
