Poll topic: What’s your theme music?
I know it’s not the most original question, but I got some really good responses. Add yours if you haven’t already…
Me: A Better Son/Daughter - Rilo Kiley (this song makes me feel like a badass.)
Andy: My theme music is “I Am a Resurrection” by the Stone Roses. It plays anytime I walk with a Mancunian swagger to remind me that I’m not Ian Brown circa 1990, world-beating egoist and saviour of Indie. I’m just some weirdo singing along to his mp3 player on a busy street!
India: theme from “To Kill a Mockingbird”
Patrick: Fools Gold by The Stone Roses
Abbie: Babies by Pulp. Beautiful especially the opening bars, talk about putting a spring in your step!
Andra: A-team–It just pops in every time
Amy: Theme from The Beverly Hillbillies.
Julie: sunny neopop ( a real ipod genre)
Adam: Frank Sinatra - That’s Life.
Steve: Apart from beltching that I believe already is my theme tune I’d like to say the Tom Waits song Heart Attack and Vine but the Screaming Jay Hawkins version as it sounds even filthier and more drunken the the original…that or just an over the top cock rock style thunder clap!
Dad: Sgt. Pepper
Mom: theme from Gone With The Wind
Nick K: Today: The Time Warner call center’s hold music. Its timeless and romantic, it makes me think of sailing.
Chrissy: Big Bad Voodo Daddy (Refrain: “So I’m think-ing about — my — next — drink, you and me and the bottle makes three tonight!”)
Tom: this week it’s “fat bottom girls” by Queen
Kimberly: Brick House (the Commodores)
Caitlin: Right now it is “I Feel Pretty.”
Stacy: Tapestry Record, by Carole King
Rachel N: Simply Irresistible by Robert Palmer
Jesse: my theme music is the cacaphonous snarling of dogs, horns, sirens, and airplanes passing by, it is the cry of babies born with no future, the silent wail of the morally destitute passing to the cubicle farms in office blocks - all combined, sampled, and synthed into the beat and melody of Flock of Seagulls’ ‘I Ran So Far Away’

Since I guess the bidding is closed on Theme Music of Your Life, let me be the first to suggest another category — Theme Music of Your Death. What do you want played or sung at your funeral?
I have my request in, for whoever outlives me (and you’d better): Parker’s Mood, by King Pleasure (or sung live)
